HELLO!

A senior creative professional with an extensive career in the brand advertising and marketing communications world – one full of adventures that I believe make me one of the most adaptable professionals in the industry.

From creative and video to photography, art direction, operations and strategy, my experience across disciplines within the agency and marketing space, provides me with an extremely holistic view of "how the sausage is made".

Today I am a better and more effective leader and storyteller as a result.
Follow me on a quick tour of this journey.

- Thank You.

As Senior Director of Marketing Communication and Creative Services my role at Within3 is responsible for internal and eternal communications, including PR. It includes written, digital, print, and video – from concept to final product. In the last 19 months the company doubled in size and expanded its offering from a single solution, to a multi-use platform with over 40 user applications. The volume of content and communication required for the market is vast, and none of it would be possible without the work of the talented team I brought to the mix.

The opportunity to assemble talented people in all stages of their career; To lead, manage, and mentor has been a significant part of my experience and also contributed to my growth. As an in-house agency we deliver creative that leads in the life science technology space to the point that our competition mimics our work months later. It really is a testament to the quality creative work we bring to life in tech for the life science industry.

As Creative Director at Atomic D I had the opportunity to lead and mentor a team of super talented designers, illustrators, and editors.
I was brought in to the agency originally as a consultant, to help audit, assess, and advise on the agency structure from an operations perspective and also to lead the agency re-branding. After a few weeks of consulting, the partners asked me to join full-time as their Creative Director, and provide additional leadership and creative support as I executed on some of these more long-tail projects.

The main catalyst for that request came as a result of a project with Twitter. I had provided copy and rationale on a visual concept I developed for their Hispanic Heritage month campaign. That copy impressed Twitter so much they asked to hire me, via Atomic D, to write and direct an evergreen video for their Twitter Alas team as part of Hispanic Heritage Month, and as part of a broader recruiting campaign.

Heavy in illustration, video, and branding, leading the team through all of these projects while also creating career paths for them and mentoring, was my favorite part. Developing the name and main visual for the new agency brand, Designerds, was the icing on the cake.

Here is just a sample of some of the work.

Coming in to head Creative and Creative Services within the Marketing team at Neato was a great experience. Reporting directly to the CMO and CEO made for an interesting dynamic. Creatively I was tasked with concept through execution of campaigns, with the added benefit of also collaborating in the development of marketing strategies that drove those campaigns. Creatively I led in everything from concept, to copy writing - including scripts, as well as art direction. Working with and managing agency partners globally, in the adaptation  and localization of work created. In addition to direct collaboration on broadcast spots for Sweden.

When I started at HH Global in the US I came in to manage Creative Services managing 3 people all embedded within Google US. Within one year I grew the US Creative Services offering to a team of nearly 10 designers and creative project managers at Google, opened up an independent US office in San Francisco, and expanded services to other clients in North America, Including HSBC, Bayer Consumer Health, Bayer Crop Science, and Bayer Animal Health.
By the following year I had expanded Creative Services to all of the Americas, to include Unilever in Latin America, Google Brazil and Mexico, in addition to HSBC, for whom we executed a variety of projects, including a Corporate Marketing video for launch.

At On3 my role as Director of Creative services ranged from concept through to production and in some cases, on-camera talent. The team was small, resourceful and dynamic. Like the Anolon Infused Copper video, the projects always challenged us to present complex themes and ideas in simple and engaging ways. Working mainly in packaging, photography, and digital, we constantly brought our clients concepts and results that exceeded their expectations. My role allowed me to explore techniques and solutions not tried before, which always made the job so much more exciting and the results more dynamic.

But wait, there's more.... Well there is a lot more but by now you get the picture.

"If you awaken from this illusion and you understand that black implies white, self implies other, life implies death (or shall I say death implies life?), you can feel yourself – not as a stranger in the world, not as something here on probation, not as something that has arrived here by fluke - but you can begin to feel your own existence as absolutely fundamental."
